The 1st Battalion moved to Fort Sandeman in Waziristan where it continued to put into practice ‘The Sirmoor System’ devised by Colonel Tuker, based on leadership ruthlessly tested at all levels, familiarity with modern weapons and communications, progressive tactical training and raising of educational standards.
