This Day in History: 1945-03-31

The 4th Battalion was sent to the Tynkken-Thaungewe area and became part of 32nd Indian Brigade with 3rd Battalion 8th Gurkha Rifles and 9/14th Punjab Regiment. It later deployed 30km south to the Myittha area astride the Mandalay-Rangoon road and sent out patrols, having some contact with the enemy.
