The 1st Battalion, based at Kota Tinggi in Malaya, reported: ’As a scatter gun country Malaya cannot compare with India for shooting as the jungle and its rubber fringes are likely to bring risk to life and limb. However, there is good snipe shooting during the winter months from Kedah to Singapore.’
