This Day in History: 1980-02-11

The 2nd Battalion relinquished duties on the Sino-Hong Kong Border for first time since 7 June 1979. During 247 consecutive days of patrolling and ambushes 4309 Illegal Immigrants were caught. Over 21000 had been caught since the Battalion’s return from the UK in 1977.
