This Day in History: 2015-03-28

On the 28th and 29th March, in Pokhara, Western Nepal, over 1500 retired Sirmooris, their families and several distinguished guests celebrated the 200th Anniversary of the raising of the Regiment in 1815.  On the first day there was a parade in the British Camp, after which there were drinks and a curry lunch.  The following day a barbecue was followed by an evening Sounding of Retreat.  Click here to see photographs and videos of the occasion.  A Regimental medal was struck to mark the occasion and awarded to all Sirmooris.
