This Day in History: 1916-05-04

Following the fall of Kut-el-Amara the 1st Battalion, as part of 37th Indian Brigade, was ordered to move to the area of of Shayk Sa’d, the advance base for steamers on the River Tigris, before taking over loading and unloading fatigue duties from the 3rd Brahmans.
