This Day in History: 1937-09-25
In Waziristan, the 1st Battalion under Lieutenant Colonel Tuker had adopted a more offensive strategy based on aggressive patrolling and undetected movement. On this day in 1937 a very successful ambush took place that killed 30 enemy and resulted in the award of an immediate MC to Jemadar Pachsuba Gurung. Click here for an account of the campaign.
