At about this time a Board sat to determine the value of the Regiment’s property and assets at Dehra Dun which amounted to Rs154,614 (approximately £703,560 today, adjusted for changes in exchange rates and inflation).  This, together with substantial Regimental funds that had accrued to the Battalions of the Regiment during the Second World War, went with the Regiment when it transferred to the British Army on India’s partition.
