This Day in History: 1948-09-20

A parcel of Regimental ties was stolen from the 1st Battalion offices in Singapore. Lieutenant Colonel John Stephens later saw a photograph of the man believed to have stolen them, Ho Kon Keng, in a gallery of terrorists who had been killed. He had been shot by a patrol from The Devonshire Regiment.
