This Day in History: 1973-07-25

The 1st Battalion sent its first detachment to the United Nations Command Honor Guard in Seoul, South Korea. It was commanded by Captain JW Kaye and consisted of 6 NCOs and 12 Riflemen selected from across the whole Battalion. This was the first time Gurkhas had undertaken this duty.
